Brent Swanner Biography

Early Years
Brent grew up in a musical family and started singing at an early age.  Brent traveled with a Southern Gospel
group called Higher Kingdom in 1993.  In February 1995 Brent and his brother Kenneth answered the call
to start Testify and sing together. 

Testify Years
Feeling the call of God on their lives to minister to the hearts of people, Brent and Kenneth Swanner formed 
TESTIFY in February of 1995. Landon Thompson joined TESTIFY September 25, 1999.  Also in 1999 Testify
begin working with Michael Sykes. Michael produces albums for The Gaither Vocal Band and The Oak Ridge
Boys. Michael produced two albums for Testify: "Something Worth Living For" and "Keep Walking." 2003
brought a new friend to Testify. Buddy Mullins, former member of The Mullins, The Gaither Vocal Band
and Sunday Drive. Buddy produced Testify’s album, "The Highest Call." "The Highest Call" was released
in June 2003. The first single, “In God We Trust” prompted President George W. Bush to write
Testify a letter thanking them for such a timely song.
  In 2005 Buddy produced Testify’s newest CD

and penned the title cut, "Rhythm of Grace." "Rhythm of Grace" was released February 2006. 2009 found
Testify and Buddy Mullins back in the studio recording Testify's first All Out Adult Contemporary recording
"Shine On Us"  In 2010 Testify went back to their roots and recorded a Live Southern Gospel album called,
"A Night Of Southern Gospel. "Greatest Hits", which contains 18 Top 40 Testify Hits was released is August
of 2011.  Testify's Final Concert took place at Brent and Kenneth's home church, First Baptist Church
West Monroe, LA on November 17, 2012.

Personal Life
In May of 2001 Brent met Aimee Smith.  They were married in 2002.  In 2008 Brent and Aimée had a son,

Elijah.  Brent and his family reside in West Monroe, LA.
